نویسندگان

چکیده

Developing countries tend to exhibit evident urban–rural income divergence as urban areas rapidly expand into adjoining land. However, Western-centric theories and studies of spatial inequality have not paid sufficient attention the connection between expansion. This paper employed a panel quantile regression model investigate this relationship in 220 prefecture-level Chinese cities 2006–2014. To identify potential spatiotemporal effects, we conducted additional robustness checks using Durbin geographical temporal weighted regression. The results show that 1 % expansion land decreases gap by 0.005 0.011 %. narrowing effect is particularly prominent eastern central regions are less urbanized overall. It also varies within more pronounced difference lowest highest quantiles northeastern China with urbanization rates >50 Finally, find evidence for an inverted U-shaped gap. Our entail suggestions improved development policies aimed toward greater integration efficiency
